Wah..Me and my friends damn scared now! Some guy in Melaka kena tangkap by the authorities for posing as a fake journalist! We are already laying low right now. I need to talk to my konchos first see what they think of this.

THREE YEARS' JAIL FOR POSING AS JOURNALIST

MALACCA: The Magistrates Court here sentenced a 31-year-old man to three years’ imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to having posed as a journalist for a local broadcasting company early this month.

Magistrate Muhamad Faizal Ismail meted out the punishment against Zulkifli Atan, from Batu Caves, Selangor, who had in mitigation asked the court to take into account the date of his arrest before sentencing him.

“The court is not concerned if you have repented your ways but is here to mete out an appropriate punishment against you.

“You will have all the time to reflect on it. The court hereby sentences you to three years’ imprisonment,” he told Zulkifli on Monday.

Before sentencing, Muhamad said he had taken note of Zulkifli’s two previous run-ins with the law for cheatings cases, with one resulting in a conviction in Muar, Johor.

Zulkifli, who was unrepresented, had pleaded guilty to the charge in the same court last Friday.

He was said to have posed as an ntv7 journalist on July 3 to gain entry into Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al Haj in Pantai Puteri, Tanjung Kling.

He allegedly duped orphanage caretaker Maznah Abdol into allowing him into the premises with an eight-man crew on the pretext of covering a media assignment.

However, following checks, it was revealed that Zulkifli was not an employee of the television station and a police report was subsequently lodged by the television company.

Police here arrested Zulkifli at the orphanage dormitory on July 4 at about 10:35pm and seized a letter purportedly issued by ntv7, eight ntv7 corporate shirts, two ntv7 name tags and 67 business cards.

Prosecuting the case was Insp Muhamad Juhari Harun.

Looks real but still suspicious....plus he is not working with any media, he just said he is freelancer for 3 newspaper lor... Mingguan Ekonomi, Mingguan Usahawan and Mingguan Politik...fuyoooooooo....try la to look at any newspaper stand, is there any such weekly newspaper?

Managed to crashed P1 event today.... lucky there is nobody know that we were there (Victor, Vincent, Dr Mic, Ishak Che Din, unknown fellow fake media)... but unfortunately we just can stay for 5 minutes...after the event started...we have to rush for another event...so busy maaaa...it's ok..our colleague Victor n Vincent stayed for PC...

Failed to enter Sony Cyber-shot launch

Wow... Stephen was really cool in Sony Cyber-shot event last nite! Busy taking photo with the SYT models.

Actually, I also tried to enter the event site with my fake media pass, but failed. Damn! They really checked on the RSVP list. The pretty PR girls tried to check my name in the list but it wasn't there. Aiyoyoo... of course you can't find it cuz i never RSVP mah! Without RSVP, i was not allow to enter the event hall. It means i would not get my door gifts and no free food for me! Shit! Rugi la my RM5 parking fee! Damn! Damn! Damn!

But how Stephen and Victor managed to enter the event site although they didn't RSVP and their names were not in the list? I tell you what... they really smart la! Kena tabik sama itu brother la. They sneaked in about 9pm after the event started about 8.15pm. Genius la all friends!

This time sure die! My major source of events, The Edge Daily's website recently went through an upgrade.  I don't know where to find already.

Last time they had the "Important Events Today" at the bottom of the page, now, I find 3 hours also cannot find the link.

How I am going to survive without free makan and door gifts lah??

Nevermind! There are still a few websites mah....but not as accurate as The Edge lah...

Anyway, I'll update more of my friends when I free lah....late for a buffet lunch with lucky draw!!!

Maserati launch

I was a bit late (f_c_ the traffic) and almost missed the best moment during Maserati launch today. The best moment? Yes... the door gift! At least I managed to get one exclusive Maserati-Naza Italia mug although I have been expecting more... may be t-shirt or something like that mar....

How about press release...? Sh_t! I don't get one cuz all my other fake media friends had taken! Damn... they were there much earlier than me. Very efficient one....

Working also very efficient one... you see la how Victor, Mark and Dr Micheal taking photo during photo opt. Real media people also tak boleh mau challenge them. Don't play-play with us, ok!? Photo jadi tak jadi, who cares... no one knows! Action mau kasi lebih mar...! Real media people baru respect sama kitaolang mar....

Edwin Yap of Newsmaker & Trendsetters is my big brother. Managed 3 sites and everytime he posted his story (normally he only abstracted from the press release), he would receive fantastic comments from all over the world. He is my icon! but he is a bit camera-shy one. Same like me lah... although many of friends agreed that I'm a photogenic, some Malay media friends would said that I'm foto-gedik. Whatever lah.... Well, besides me, he was among the first to grab the food after this morning event! We all working and makan very efficient one....

Last but not least, to all my fake media friends, I will see again tomorrow in Pavilion at 2:15pm for... emmmm... for... emmm... aiyoyo... who cares lah, as long as we get the door gift and free makan, just go lah... and the PR will not stop us one!!!

Mmmm... it's always good that when all the events happening at almost same place, especially only walking distance. When happening at the same place and i also not so pening lah. I can hop one location to another location to collect the door gift. Better still if all the events under one roof.

I still remember how my friend Vincent, attended several launches (and of cuz lah collecting door gift was the main agenda, otherwise you think why so hardworking) at Starhill Gallery during their "A Journey Through Time II" event.

Oh ya... I think for tomorrow's event, at least 3 to 4 of us will be attending Naza event in the morning. So, our real media friends, see you there and catch us if you can :p

Dr Michael is my most talented media friend

This is my newest and the best media friend! He is very friendly one. Talking to him make me feel like I am so useless... cuz he can talk anything under the sky. Althought most of the time talk nonsense, very talented one.... No wonder got Dr. lah! But... please don't ask him about publication or media. He will chance subject one. May be allergic to the topic.. You want his name card? Sorry... unless you got lucky draw for him.


One more thing... which I really really do not understand one. Why a lot of my real media friends, clients and even PR agency people do not like him? They said he is very annoying. I think he does nothing wrong just because he...

a) ...attended uninvited event and asked questions only to those got prizes one
b) ...got his free lunch at Acer event, just because make friend with the GM
c) ...talking (only) to the pretty girls after the event and asked for their handphone number
d) ...screwed the PR people if he didn't get the door gift
e) ...stole a voucher for ice cream at LG event
f) ...[add yourself lah]

I'm damn proud of these two friends of mine... Mark & Edwin. Tabik spring sama lu lah brader! Gua caya sama lu! Damn terror one! Not-invited-Honda-Stream motoring event which was only for motoring media, they also managed to cover. Terror right? Take a look of this blog... you real media also tak boleh buat. So you real media better shut your big mouth up. Never say they tak tahu malu or cari makan kaki, OK!

Hello my real media friends! Please don't be jealous with one of my friends here... Victor Steven! He is damn terror one and always busy taking photos during event. Can real media challenge him? Since last year Oct until today, he has attended not less than 50 events/launches from various functions but only selected 11 articles to publish in his blog. Can your publications do that? Hahaha... go and ask your editor and i don't think so!
