This is my newest and the best media friend! He is very friendly one. Talking to him make me feel like I am so useless... cuz he can talk anything under the sky. Althought most of the time talk nonsense, very talented one.... No wonder got Dr. lah! But... please don't ask him about publication or media. He will chance subject one. May be allergic to the topic.. You want his name card? Sorry... unless you got lucky draw for him.
One more thing... which I really really do not understand one. Why a lot of my real media friends, clients and even PR agency people do not like him? They said he is very annoying. I think he does nothing wrong just because he...
a) ...attended uninvited event and asked questions only to those got prizes oneb) ...got his free lunch at Acer event, just because make friend with the GM
c) ...talking (only) to the pretty girls after the event and asked for their handphone number
d) ...screwed the PR people if he didn't get the door gift
e) ...stole a voucher for ice cream at LG event
f) ...[add yourself lah]
This Micheal is very a annoying talker. Once he try to give me a ticket to a concert... first he said u ambik la... free than a few minutes later he said RM50 can aaa for the ticket. Actually I wasn't eager to go. But any way what was listed is real and it really happened. MOST annoying guy ever!

ReplyDeleteToday he comes as NSM online journalist, the next day from SME mag... but if you call SME mag at (03) 7880 3511, no one knows him. You also can check it out Feb issue SME mag. Poor guy!

ReplyDeleteOh yea, there's this time my team weren't aware that he is a fake media, so we were sitting together. TRUST ME!! IT WAS A NIGHT MARE! Since then, I believe he is a fake media because he was keep on asking about our background,checking on his media gift, looking at our b**bs and said you are having such a beautiful thing,@#$%^&*!!!!! Really a hamsap lo!!! I have never seen any media like him, not concerned at all what is the event and the press release about. Just makan, cakap banyak, bullsh*t banyak...I'm so glad to found this blog and share my story...
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA... I love this blog so much. It's a tribute to our fake media friends, and I'm more than pleased to share my photo collection of your friends. Dr. Michael is truly a genius. At one of our events, Dr. (aggressively) suggested a brilliant idea for media gifts. He said, clients should give corporate logos as media gifts because he will carry them around, use them (probably on his name cards, I don't know) and then he can collect royalty from the clients. I was so impressed I had nothing to say at that point...
ReplyDeleteWhere got friendlylah? Not to me. That's because my colleague tells me I'm no sweet young thing. I couldn't get a word out of him or find out what his name is or where he is from, I mean which media. Thanks to this blog I finally discover his name, the fierce Dr title he carries, the events he represent and how his name card looks like.

Wonder though what is this non-media person hanging at media events and why PR company is allowing him in when he comes from an exhibition company!
Curious to know how PR companies will handle this person in future when he turns up at their events.
I guess we can print out their photos courtesy of fakemediamalaysia blog and stick it on the registration table. Draw a red circle around their face with a diagonal red line across and add at the bottom NO PETS ALLOWED.

Such an annoying man, really BTC " Boh Tak Chek" !!! Hello Uncle, learn your lesson by not getting too close to media ladies OKIE !!! As you know you are not welcome at all !! Really pissed off when he gets too close and asking stupid questions, dah la I ignored him and still, his face is so thick man. Argh !!!
